About Me

About Gayle R. Berg, Ph.D

I received my doctorate degree in psychology from New York University in l983. While earning my degree, I worked full time at Mt. Sinai Hospital in the Outpatient Department of Psychiatry as the Assistant Clinical Director of the Day Treatment Center. I also helped to design and develop this innovative treatment program for individuals suffering from major psychological diagnoses.

After earning my doctorate, I moved to Long Island, where I obtained my license in psychology in l984. Later that year, I opened my private practice in Roslyn. In an ongoing effort to enhance my skills, I earned additional credentials in clinical hypnosis and became a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist in l993 and a Certified Diplomate in Clinical Hypnotherapy in 2000 through the National Board for Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists. For the last several years I have incorporated mindfulness training and hypnotherapy into my psychotherapy practice and have found them to benefit many of the individuals and couples who I have seen.
